Wranglers? I’m thinking a pinto is to a pony, what wranglers are to jeans.

I love Violet’s answer! Wrangler jeans! Of course. Thanks for the ‘clean jeans’ giggle that made me think of Mr. Green Jeans from the very vintage Captain Kangaroo show of my youth. 😉💕😉

Violet has a clever answer! And I like your reference to Captain Kangaroo 🙂 My mom says I watched that as a kid, but I don’t remember the show. Still, maybe parts of it are hanging around my brain, and that influenced me to write this poem? Could be! 🌞

I love that you have any connection to Mr. Green Jeans…tucked away, perhaps? He was such a sweet, humble man. Thanks, Dave. I love that your mom recalls you watching! 🥰

This left me smiling but baffled. But that is okay; sometimes a mystery is best left unsolved!!!

I like how you said that. And I agree that all mysteries don’t have to be solved. They can continue bringing curiosity if left unsolved 🙃

Pinto beans = common (as in ordinary) beans – so plain, basic jeans, I guess. 🙂

Good one, Dave. Speaking of beans, why isn’t chili cold?
LikeLiked by 3 people
Yeah! That’s another deep mystery! Especially when a cook puts hot peppers into chili — that’s certainly not cold 🙃

I love the playfulness. Unanswered, a mystery.

Yep, the silence that leaves the mystery … but then, mysteries can continue to offer curiosity if left unsolved 🙃

This is true! And that can lead to great exploration. I was being more cheeky – the silent (but deadly) type. It is a bean riddle after all. 😄

G’day Dave. Nice poem and riddle. It had my brain scrambled. I even used Wikipedia to see what Pinto beans looked like. Apparently they are not used here (in Australia) very much.
My mind was curious to come up with some rhyme for it….the only one that made some sense to me was ‘Indo vaccines’ though….lol
I am happy that I stumbled upon your pages, today. I am in an ‘ex-cyclone Alfred zone’ here, so happy to have electricity-internet now while it pours and we can’t go out. Off I go to read more. Oh and I like the thought behind your Joy project. Will do more reading on that also.
Thank you for sharing your creative ideas with the world around. Wishing you well. Hana
